It’s a balance of classic techniques and instinctive cooking, rooted in tradition but never stuck in it. October in Salem is a whole thing - and we’re leaning into it, bistro-style.
For the month, Bernadette serves a three-course prix fixe: aperitifs to share, your choice of hors d’oeuvre, and a hearty main. Think Beef Bourguignon, Duck Confit, Coq au Vin - cozy French favorites made for chilly nights and a glass (or two) of wine.
Our à la carte menu takes a pause until November so everyone gets the full experience. The October menu is $78 per person, exclusive of tax, gratuity, dessert, and extras (like oysters, frites, or brussels sprouts).
Our bar is always first come, first served. In October you can enjoy the full prix fixe or a smaller apero menu.

This is the second culinary venture by husband-and-wife team Aaron and Shanna Chambers, who bring their passion for connection, exceptional food, and community to every aspect of Bernadette. The interior of the space pays tribute to the women who have shaped this journey for them. From natural oak woods to plush velvet seating and hand-crafted brass lighting, every detail creates an ambiance that is soft and approachable.
